Hello everyone,
ever heard of Wargaming ambassadors? No? Let me tell you who that is. They are Wargaming employees, who come and troll around 3rd party forums and social groups. Their official task is to spread Wargaming EU propaganda (not sure Russians have their own version, didn’t check) – not exactly a high position, but keep in mind they are official representatives and employees. Now, Czech community has two: Zynea_CZ and Rogalaf_CZ (there are probably more, again, didn’t check).
There is a closed Facebook group for “young tankers” (how the hell is a female tanker called in English? A tankette?) they recently infiltrated. Someone in the group linked the FTR bot post and of course, they just HAD to react.
Zynea: “My personal opinion? Someone is excercising in writing screnplays for Bollywood..? Hard to say. Since they already took so much time making it up, they shouldn’t have brought it down with the ‘videos’… but I believe that a few people will believe it. It was entertaining :) WGA Zynea CZ – Czech Wargaming ambassador”
(her Facebook profile)
(his Facebook profile)
Rogalaf: “Hello everyone. It’s a blog and anyone can write whatever they want there. But to be honest – I haven’t read bigger bigger bullshit in a long time. If a player is repeatedly AFK, he can even get permabanned for that. It takes some time before the punishment is assigned, because every case takes time to investigate. And I am sorry, but if we provided evidence against every conspiracy theory or player accusation, we can stop running WoT altogether, since we would be doing nothing else. People are inventive… someone writes a good book, someone writes WoT conspiracy theories. Take care, enjoy the game and don’t waste your time reading such stuff. WGA Rogalaf CZ – Czech Wargaming ambassador”
There you have it. There are no bots, it is just my conspiracy theory :) Of course, the Tankleader bot site is also a fake, Russian reactions on bots are also fake, the fact two most popular Russian streamers/videomakers caught on it too (one is Jove, the other is Murazor), all a fake. We can safely continue playing, knowing such competent people are out there, working so hard to make the amazing gameplay experience for us without weekly WG EU fails :)
Hello everyone,
it’s weekend and with it the usual dose of Wargaming fail. This time however, it’s not that bad, it comes only in the form of incomprehensibility (yes, I had to look up this word in a dictionary). Basically, there are two issues.
First the “Let the Games begin” event, where you get extra crew XP. Several people wrote me about a percieved fail, where they got the three bonuses at once and all were listed as “1,1 crew XP coefficient” – guys, these bonuses aren’t multiplicative, they are additive. The mission works correctly, if you get three times 1,1 crew XP bonus, the result is 1,3 bonus. The reson for this unintuitive solution is probably the fact that for some (probably technical) reason, Wargaming techs can’t program a mission, whose criteria would exclude the other missions, that have the same criteria but in lesser amount.
Second is a bit more serious. Basically, the Monthly Mission 5 (why can’t they at least name them? Confusion FTW) is sort of bugged. To quote Brynd (WG EU):
Unfortunately there is an issue with Monthly Mission 5, in which when you complete it, it appears to reset and show as uncompleted. We’re informed this is a display issue only: the mission is still working and the result will still count for helping to complete Monthly Mission 6.
Well, that’s it – you won’t lose your mission progress, no worries. It works.

Behold, the Modra revolving tank proposal from 1943!
Hello everyone,
in my last post about Czechoslovak light tanks (specifically the TNH-57/900), I wrote that for tier 6 I also have a candidate. This is it, Škoda T-17.
On 8.9.1948, Škoda came (likely from its own initiative) with a light tank project designated T-17. The suspension of this vehicle started the development of new “light platform”.
In November 1948, it was decided on the meeting between the Škoda company leadership and the representatives of the Czechoslovak army to create a light platform on which a light tank destroyer, a light self propelled gun and a light tank could be built. This platform was named “Lehký podvozek” or “LP”. It was based on the drawing from Škoda design bureau of the T-17 light tank.

Thanks to Ensign Expendable for linking this :) From a War Thunder blog. Meanwhile in Gaijin office, allegedly from some head honcho of development…
“Whoever of fucking designers doesn’t fucking play the shit he creates will be fucking penalized each month! You are fucking hurting the project and I fucking will hurt you until all the shit doesn’t get the fuck out of your head!”
(sorry, I couldn’t resist posting this :D)
- developers are investigating alleged FPS drops on very high end computers (Win8)
- Q: “Please implement a ‘one minute remaining’ gong in the battle” A: “And girls in bikini, yes”
- developers are aware of the “rigged” companies
- Storm confirms that 8.11 FOV will appear on live servers (“It’s already too late to change it”)
- it’s possible that FOV will be possible to set by players (but later)
- according to Slava Makarov, World of Tanks is one of the top 5 most successful MMO games
….because you just KNOW how national battles will end up :D
Hello everyone,
there seems to be some confusion about the announced removal of battletier 12 in 8.11 (on Tuesday), so I’d like to shed some light on the issue. Personally, I was just as confused as you are, but in the end, I think I understood what the developers meant by this and it is a pretty elegant solution indeed.
For starters, what does it mean for tier 8 tanks? Will they meet tier 10′s more often? The answer is “no”. Balance-wise, it means absolutely nothing. Why does it mean nothing? Well, because there is this rule that a vehicle has to be spread equally over battletiers, that trumps everything else. In other words, it is a game mechanism that you will spend equal amount of time on all the battletiers. Keep in mind that this rule does work over your entire tank statistic, so “streaks” of you at the top (or bottom) are completely possible (I better say this before anyone starts moaning again about “rigged” MM). By the way, remember that “famous” post by a developer, where he said the better you play, the worse MM you get? Yea, that’s garbage, it was debunked several times even by Storm.
Let’s have a look at the tier 8,9 and 10 battletier spreads.
Hello everyone,
in the recent storm of speculation about the removal of battletier 12, one interesting piece of info kinda fell through the cracks.
Storm on troll platoons (SS: platoon with incompatible battletiers – for example one tier 1 and one tier 8 vehicle):
“We can’t ban them for several reasons. But they will be punished by recieving less XP and credits, if their battletiers don’t match. With a warning, of course, during the creation of the platoon.”
Well, there you have it. Finally, after all this time.
